Fresh Blood to Spur Efficiency in MINRESI
Newly appointed officials in the Ministry were commissioned on Tuesday
Five newly appointed senior officials of the Ministry of Scientific Research and Innovation (MINRESI) have been urged to shun bad governance, strive for efficiency, collaborate both with their staff and hierarchy as well as use their full potentials so as to live up to the task assigned them by the President of the Republic, Paul Biya. MINRESI boss, Madeleine Tchuinte, made the call on Tuesday February 2, 2010 while installing the officials appointed by a Presidential degree of January 28, 2010 into their new functions.
These included Maurice Doube, Board Chairman of the Local Materials Promotion Authority (MIPROMALO), Ngeve Mbua Jacob and Woin Noe, respectively General Manager and Deputy General Manager of the Research Institute for Agronomic Development (IRAD), Mbotta Elimbe Martin, General Manager of the National Institute for Cartography and Simo Augustin, General Manager of the National Agency for Radioprotection. Dr Madeleine Tchuinte said with the Ministry’s roadmap for 2010 which seeks to surmount the challenges facing scientific research in the country and give it the frontline role it has in the country’s development, the new officials should double their effects, each in his area of command, to ensure that the objective is attained. “You must go to work immediately and put your experiences into full use as the task awaiting you is daunting”, she said.
To the outgoing officials, she praised them for the work done during their period in office and wished them well in the tasks that would be assigned them. The ceremony was attended among others by the Minister of Basic Education, Youssouf née Adidja Alim.
