African Monetary Fund: New members arrive at headquarters

Financial difficulties have delayed the implementation of the roadmap.

However, work is not easy so far. The budget of the FMA is not yet available. Informed sources explained that in September, at the inauguration of the headquarters, they went almost at year end. Our sources believe however that the budget will soon be available after the conference of Heads of State of the African Union which ended last Tuesday in Addis Ababa.

The same informant certify that the efforts of the Cameroonian government to operationalize the seat of FMA are valued at AU headquarters. We recall that the Commissioner of Economic Affairs Commission of the African Union, Nkwezalamba Maxwell, who had led the AU delegation at the inauguration of the headquarters, had expressed his satisfaction with the quality facilities offered by the Cameroonian government has also equipped and furnished offices.
