Malaysia Sime Darby Says no Agreement on Cameroon

Malaysian Palm-to-property conglomerate Sime Darby said Wednesday that if he has not taken any agreement to invest in oil palm plantations Cameroon.

The company is responsible for the media report that said he is considering $2.5 billion deal the expansion of plantations of the African nation.

Sime, the world leader in the largest palm grove by the size of land bank, said it continues to explore investment opportunities and make public announcements required if an agreement was reached.

Recently, the company reported its results for the second quarter, which saw its net profit more than doubled in recent years due to strong contributions from palm.
