Cameroon Launches H1N1 Vaccination Program
Yaounde, Cameroon – Cameroon Ministry of Public Health on Tuesday launched a national vaccination program against the H1N1 influenza virus. The Five days of the campaign is aimed at health professionals, children between 5 and 15 years for women who have more than six months pregnant, the elderly and those suffering from diabetes and hypertension.
Government of Cameroon has received 1.3 million doses of vaccine from the World Health Organization, given in 3000 by healthcare professionals.
Since the beginning of a year at least 75 cases of H1N1 influenza have entered the country, said the Ministry of Health of Cameroon.
