West Africa: British pilot dies in Cameroon plane crash

Yaounde - A small aircraft has reportedly crashed in southern Cameroon, killing its British pilot. Cameroon Radio-Television said that the plane had "collided violently with a large baobab tree after a mechanical failure". It said that the accident had happened on Monday as the solo pilot sprayed banana plantations at Mbanga, about 50km north of Douala, the country's economic capital.
